Heh. I grew up in DC, and my sister's first 4th of July fireworks were three days after her first birthday. She conked out around 8 (as 1 year-olds do) and was then abruptly awakened by the very! loud! explosion! at 9:20 when the fireworks started...she hates fireworks to this day...
