Travel Isn't Always Fun

I've been trying to write this post all weekend.  Raq and I have spoken a lot about how travel isn't just in the big trips.  It's also about going outside and finding a new park.  It's about relocating, and then finding the grocery with the right kind of peanut butter.  Or finding the people who will impact your life in a number of different ways.  It's not always fun.  Sometimes it's lonely and sometimes, hopefully few and far between, it's downright scary.

When you need to travel, in a hurry, with children in tow, it is never easy.  Our hearts go out to everyone who has been evacuated over the weekend from the delta states in the US. At the same time, our thoughts are with families in war-torn countries, and places where fault lines of other kinds have rendered home a place that is no longer safe.

We see you and wish you a welcoming harbor and a safe return.
